Is "copy" in new week calendar view broken?

When I tap an entry in the new week calendar view and select "copy" it doesn't seem to do anything... it doesn't bring up a copy of the original like the tap-and-hold copy does in other views. There's no "paste" function that I can see either - how is this supposed to work?

Also, is tap-and-hold going to be added to this new view?

You're right. I suspect that functionality is right now tied to the grid UI which this week view doesn't have. They may need to find a different way to provide it. Alternatively, you can switch week view when you want to copy and paste, but hoping fpr something more elegant since I pprefer the new week view.

I referred this to the developer. It will be fixed soon in our leading edge release. Until then, please use copy from day view.

Thanks much! I would think that, eventually, all entries should support the tap-and-hold menu, if possible.

Yeah, I switch to the list view and tap-and-hold to copy. But it would be nice to be able to do that anywhere, of course (or, if hit "copy" while viewing an individual record, it would open a copy of it right away).

Some of you all might be interested in the feature request I just made which relates to copying events based on user defined interval patterns:

Tim the copy on week view will be fixed in the beta, and will go into general release. Thanks for pointing that out.

Is that tap-and-hold copy, or copy from within the single-recording view? The 2nd doesn't seem to work anywhere at present (though I didn't enter the single-record view from every other view to check). Is it supposed to do anything at all?

Sounds like a neat idea - kind of like Templates, but more so. Might be tough to implement, what with all the other features they want to add/improve, but good ideas!

Thanks! I'm glad to know it resonates with others! Yeah, it's sort of like an on-the-fly template, but the recurrence element is what really sets it apart (in my opinion).

It's a bit like the conversation I had with the support people here regarding "what happens when you copy a repeating event". They said it copies everything, including any exceptions added to the original event. I asked why they didn't have it so that it copied it minus any exceptions, or made it optional. What you're suggesting sounds something like that.

I decided to continue our conversation in the other thread, as that seems a better place for it.
