Month view date colors

I went through the classrom on the calendar but didn't learn what the different date digit colors mean. Some are pink, others black, yellow, andwhite. Is there a post expalining what the colors signify?

The colors signify specific categories that you can assign to different types of events. That way you can associate a specific color with a specific type of event.

Kids events = Green
Work travel = orange, etc...
