I'm just curious as I really haven't seen anything on this. I have the ability on my rooted devices to detect and block ad components. What I notice most times is that these are usually found in free programs and when there is a version you can purchase, they do not. The exception is sometimes an app that requires you to keep the free component installed with the paid version. So DocsToGo has ad components while QuickOffice does not. Guess which one I use.

My question is, why does Deja Office have Admob components? I block them, of course, but I would prefer to purchase a clean version that doesn't have the components. What does Admob do for you when, in fact, no ads are shown. What kinds of data is being collected and where is it going and why. Any chance of adding a premium version without such components?

Thanks in advance for your thoughtful answers. :)

Hi Hook,

There was an early build of DejaOffice that ran AdMob ads. It would seem some of that code is still present - I'll pass this along to the developers.

Just to clarify, the current version of DejaOffice does NOT display any ads.
