Hi,

DJO lack of a "copy appointment" feature.
It's very difficult to duplicate a useful entry used regularly, but not recurrent...

Did you intend to do add the function ?

Regards

Windows XP (FR) / Outlook 2003 / DJO 1.6.6 + CL Pro 4.0.4014 paid pro license / Samsung Galaxy S / Android 2.1 / Param = days back 30 + sync both ways + deleted both + sync alarms + cleared records + Android contacts sync + no sync with Google

I see there has not been an answer to this question. Is there a way to copy, or clone, an appointment entry? If I have a recurring appointment that is on a random schedule, it must be entered manually each time. It would help a great deal if an existing appointment could be copied or cloned to a new appointment.

OK, I have seen your duplicated subject "Clone Appointment", regards.

I see there is still no reply on this and various new threads regarding copying apointments have appeared. Are DJO looking at this useful and really quite basic feature? Surely this can't be hard to do?

We have submitted copy event as a requested feature with the dev team. When it is available we will inform the boards and post thew build to the marketplace.

Hi Laurent,

Looking ahead in the development schedule:
http://www.dejaoffice.com/forums/showthread.php?30-DejaOffice-for-Android-General-release-schedule

Looks like this feature is listed for DejaOffice rev 1.13/2.0.
Line item 10 seems to address that matter.

I hope this helps.

Hi Thomas,

I'm not smart enough to understand everything in the todo list.

It seems that the line item 10 as something to do with Dialing management and Followup Event linked to previous objects and that it is not just a "copy" appointment feature...

regards.

---
e. When a call is dialed out, after the call a screen pops up to add a
Followup Task, Followup Event, History Note.
f. When a call completes, we register to pop up. If the contact does
not exist, we pop to create it. Then we pop up the 7c Followup options.

10. Followup system to Calendars
A calendar event can be "Completed" using Context menu or completion
button on the View Screen. Completion allows the addition of a timed,
dated Completion Note. Also - Completion has a button to schedule a
Followup Event, or Followup Task or No Followup. A followup Event
clones the Completed event with Category and Link fields intact. A
followup Task does the same.

Seems to be asked often...

Ability to copy calender items, tasks, memos, expenses :
Could you please add the ability to create a copy of calendar items, tasks, memos, expenses? I'm always needing to add another one of these items which happens to be very similar to an existing one. Could add this in the "press and hold pop-up menu" along with the delete and other functionality. This would be a great time saver.

I have to echo the same; it would be a real advantage to be able to copy any calendar, task, memo, or contact item. If you could please have it added to the DJO "to-do list" that would be fantastic. I would also appreciate an idea of when this enhancement can be expected. Thanks.

The only thing keeping me from LOVING Dejacalandar is the inability to copy appointments. Please make this improvement, I'm begging you.

Hello orrpest,

I have passed your request along to the dev group. Thank you for your feedback.

Well done Orrpest and laurentdjo for keeping up on this. It is really frustrating to not be able to do this in DJO. I end up writing thoings down and then entering them in Outlook before syncronising - crazy! Otherwise DJO is very good, except that it can't handle category colours well.

Dear people,
We are currently at version 2.1.9, and I'm still not able to locate the "clone item" functionality....
Is it still planned an pending?, or it has been dropped from "future improvements" list?

Manyu thanks in advance!
Kind regards!

laurent,

This is by design because the user would have to navigate to a different Calendar view to paste the event anyway.

... or it could just be pasted in with a small name change like "Copy of .." and could then be reworked.
I'd like that too.
