View Full Version : URLs get 'adjusted' during sync

SETUP.. Windows XP Home, ACT 2007 wi-fi sync to iPad.

I have URL fields within ACT... when these fields are synced to the iPad, the URL address gets changed slightly... the ampersand symbol '&' gets changed to '%07', making any URL with a '&' in the address useless when you tap on the URL field within the iPad.

Is there a work-around...
Is this a known issue that will get fixed...
Any clues why this happens...

A quick update and a more concerning issue...

It seems that CompanionLink and/or DejaOffice do not like the ampersand '&' symbol.... even when this symbol appears with the text of a note field.... such as "sent quote by letter & email"... this appears in the notes as "sent quote by letter email"..... in this scenario, the '&' gets deleted completely !!!

Please help....

This is likely. Wi-Fi sync uses tcp/ip protocol which is inherently http related, and as such & would be considered a bad thing. I'll list this as a bug. In the mean time, you might try the http equivalent &&
