We're syncing 2 identical HTC EVO 4GLTE phones to a single Time & Chaos database. One phone syncs via wi-fi but won't via USB Direct, the other won't sync via wi-fi but will sync via USB Direct -- from the same CL on one computer. When (through trial and error) I got CL talking to DJO on both phones, I did a successful WIPE ANDROID FIRST sync - contacts loaded into DJO Contacts, calendar into DJO Calendar, tasks, all fine on both phones. SYNC BOTH WAYS now works fine on both phones from separate computers on our LAN and one T&C database -- one phone via wi-fi, the other via USB Direct.
The problem is in Android's native Contacts and HTC People ... native Contacts only show MOST of DJO Contacts - and there's no obvious pattern to those left out. Different contacts are left out on consecutive syncs with the same phone (last time I checked) and different contacts are left out of each phone on immediate, consecutive syncs. And HTC's People - it's empty on both phones ... SYNC WITH NATIVE ANDROID APPS is checked on both phones ...
QUESTION 1: is there any way to get a 100% sync between DJO and Android's internal contacts ...? Is there some obvious (to you!) setting on the phone or in CL that I need to check or un-check ...? We want to be able to tap the Phone icon and see the same list of contacts as is available if we tap DJO Contacts ...
QUESTION 2: is there a way to populate HTC's People with the entries - ALL of them - that are in DJO Contacts? We want to be able to place People on a Home Page containing 6 or 8 "most-called contacts" ... is there an alternative to HTC's People that accomplishes this, apart from speed-dial ...?
