Seeing "null" in text of value pulled from map lookup

I added a event to my calendar, and looked up the address from within the app.
When it was added, however, it had the word "null" in it... probably lack of a null check in the code.
I was trying to upload an image of it, but I keep seeing "Image resize failed due to your image library not having support for this image type." even though I've tried PNG and JPG and they were both small files. Is something wrong with image upload?
