    Hi Thomas,
As always, thanks for the help.
I also understand the difficulties you guys are facing with this product, and the nature of the Android platform.
The funny thing is that everything was absoloutly perfect, and I loved my phone and DO and CL BEFORE THE 1.10.8 UPDATE.
I was syncing by USB almost daily and was enjoying syncs to the android calender and contact list as well.
After the update all was lost, or so it seems.
I did change over to Wi-Fi to see if that would help, but it did not.
I did see another update in the market, and I will download and try again.
I will try USB only, as that is my preferred method, but I'm willing to try anything you suggest, at this point.

If you change sync methods you have to do a Purge and Reload or it will not work correctly. Keep that in mind.

    Hi Thomas,
I installed the update last night, and thing seem to be much better.
Although things are still a little buggy, there was a dramatic improvement.
Things were moved in calender on both Outlook and the device and both were syncing.
I've not tried anything with notes or tasks yet, as I really want to get the calender and contacts right first.
I will also try the purge and reload as you suggest.
    Thanks!
    Jeff

    Hi Thomas,
I tried the purge and reload, and there didn't seem to be a difference.
My syncs are still totally random, and only work once in about a half dozen times.
I still get the press ok when pc complete button that dissapears before the pc is done.
And then the SD card is no longer available.
After unplugging the usb cable the phone will then finish syncing(or at least it says so) and end up with a failed sync.
Upon reconnecting and then trying again sometimes this will work.
But sometimes the sync will go through, but not all data will be synced.
Keep in mind that right now im only trying to sync my calender, as this is most important to me.
    Any more ideas????
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

We have recently discovered an issue where, on some Android phones, DejaOffice may be unable to complete a USB synchronization with the PC. The issue is caused by a database format change that may be present on some phones, but not on others.

If you are unable to synchronize with DejaOffice via USB, please update CompanionLink on your PC using the link below. This update is compatible with all known database formats, which should fix the USB sync issue.

    http://www.companionlink.com/downloa...03-21-11-a.exe

NOTE: You can install this build over the top of your existing CompanionLink installation.

If you experience any issue with this build please let us know. We apologize for any inconvenience.

    Hi Thomas,
I installed the update to CL and things seem to be much better.
Things seem to be syncing to both the Android calender and DO as well.
Also the notes seem to be syncing as well.
I still do not have anything in the Android contact area though.
If this is not possible I can live with that.
Anyway, things are much better and thank you for all your support!

    Hi Thomas,
    Things are better, thank you.
My next question is, should I be able to still use my Android contacts???
I lost all information in Android contacts upon installing 1.10.7 and have never gotten them back.
When I go to open the Android contact list, it tries to open, but then I get a very short blank screen and it closes.
There appears to not be any information there.
But if I go into the phone dialer section and select contacts they are there.
I'm not sure if they are in sync but though.
Also checking the sync with Android contacs in setup in DO bogs the sync down tremendously without any apparent benefit.
Am I supposed to be able to use Android contacts with DO??
    Thanks for all your help.
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

We offer the ability to sync with Android Contacts based on public request. Some people love it and it is great for them. Quite frankly it has a huge impact on the sync time and my general rule is, unless you can think of a burning need for syncing with native, I doubt there is any reason to do it.
