    Hello Thomas,

Today I uninstalled DJO, deleted clusb.
Reinstalled DJO from android market version 1.11.3

    CL4044:
Palmdesktop primary, purge and reload for all.

    Phone:
Setup wizard, sync with android contacts, not with android calendar, do not sync with google account.

Did a sync and all data was still on my desktop but not on my phone.

    CL before the sync:
    Contacts: 81
    Calendar: 2321
    Tasks: 26
    Notes: 21

    CL after the sync:
    Contacts: 0
    Calendar: 0
    Tasks: 0
    Notes: 0

    So to be completely sure:
Uninstalled DJO, Uninstalled CL, deleted clusb
Restarted the PC and restarted the Phone.
    Installed DJO, installed CL

    CL:
Palmdesktop primary, purge and reload for all.

    Phone:
Setup wizard, sync with android contacts, not with android calendar, do not sync with google account.

    Phone: pressed the sync button
    Phone: synchronizing…
    Phone: reading android contacts
    PC: reading all data
Phone: Press ok when PC sync is complete
PC sync complete. Press ok on the phone to finish synchronizing
    Phone: preparing sd-card
    Phone: USB unmounted
    Phone: synchronizing
    Phone: sync complete
    Phone: updating android database

Added two appointments, one in the desktop and one on the Phone.

CL: settings sync both ways, records deleted in palmdesktop and android will be synchronized, latest changes are kept.

    Phone: press sync button
    Phone: synchronizing…
    Phone: reading android contacts
    PC: reading all data
Phone: Press ok when PC sync is complete
PC sync complete. Press ok on the phone to finish synchronizing
    Phone: preparing sd-card
    Phone: USB unmounted
    Phone: synchronizing
    Phone: sync complete
    Phone: updating android database

The appointments were transferred without any problem.

Now deleted the appointment on the phone and the other on the desktop.

CL: settings sync both ways, records deleted in palmdesktop and android will be synchronized, latest changes are kept.

    Phone: press sync button
    Phone: usb mounted/unmounted?
    PC: reading all data
Phone: Press ok when PC sync is complete
PC sync complete. Press ok on the phone to finish synchronizing
    Phone: preparing sd-card
    Phone: USB unmounted
    Phone: synchronizing
    Phone: sync complete
    Phone: updating android database

    All the changes were done.

I will sync twice a day from now to see what happens.
    I will keep you posted.

    Sincerly,
    Alexandra

    Hello Thomas,

We were to happy...it happened again tonight.
DJO is empty again and all settings are back to standard.
It is strange that all the data I changed today on my phone still has been transfered to my desktop.
So nothing is lost. It is all on my desktop but not on my phone!

    This is what happened:

CL: settings sync both ways, records deleted in palmdesktop and android will be synchronized, latest changes are kept.

    Phone: press sync button
    Phone: reading android contacts
    Phone: USB mounted
    PC: reading all data
Phone: Press ok when PC sync is complete
PC sync complete. Press ok on the phone to finish synchronizing
    Phone: preparing sd-card
    Phone: USB unmounted
    Then nothing happened anymore
When I checked the calendar it was empty, just as the contacts, tasks and notes.

Lucky me; I still have all my data.
But it is annoying to have to put everything back on my phone every 5th, 6th or .. sync and set the settings back to my liking.
What can I do to help you figure out what is going on?

Please let me know if you need any data since I am going on a holiday friday the 3th and I am back friday the 17th.
I will read the forum on my phone but are not able to do any syncs since I will not take my computer with me.

Thanks for keeping an eye on my posts.

So sorry this is still a problem.
2 paths of troubleshooting occur for me. We can try either one or both.

    1. Replace the SD Card in your phone. Sometimes the SDCard does not read write correctly and that can contribute to the randomness of the behavior you are experiencing.
    2. Submit a ticket to:
    support@dejaoffice.com
    - Include a link to this thread in the body of the email and request instructions to submit a log file.

Let me know what you would like to do.

    Hello Thomas,

Don't worry. It is ok. Just want to fix this because I really don't want to use any other app than DJO. I tried the native and didn't like it at all! And certainly don't want google to get all my data!
And I just am too glad that it is so like my treo. And that I can still use my Palm desktop.
And DJO and CL worked fine before.
So I am committed to help you solve this.

The first thing I will do today is to buy a new SD card.
We first have to exclude this as a problem and fortunately they do not cost that much (15 euro).

I will make a backup of my current SD card on my computer before switching to a new one.
Do you want me to copy this backup to my new SD Card or do you want me to install DJO fresh from androidmarket and then the last version 1.11.7 (using 1.11.3 now)?

I can test it until I go on holiday. If it happens again before I go friday I can submit a ticket and try to submit a log file. But I can't do much from my holiday adress.
Else my suggestion would be to do it in two weeks when I am back from my holiday.
I am not in a hurry to get this fixed.
I still can use DJO. I only have to be careful when I do a sync. Until now I never lost any data.
And the point of my holiday is to relax and enjoy the sea and nature around me so I don't have to enter a lot of data in my phone.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

    Hello Thomas,

Thanks, I am looking forward to it since it has been 18 months since we last went on a holiday.

I did buy a kingston micro sd card.
I did put it empty in my phone and did a palm to android sync including a purge en reload (still using the DJO 1.11.3)

    So far so good.

I must have done more than 10 syncs (I stopped counting) and worked like this:

CL: settings sync both ways, records deleted in palmdesktop and android will be synchronized, latest changes are kept.

    Phone: press sync button
    Phone: synchronizing…
    Phone: reading android contacts
    PC: reading all data
    PC sync complete
    Pushed ok on pc
Phone: Press ok when PC sync is complete
    Pressed phone ok
    Phone: USB unmounted
    Phone: preparing sd-card
    Phone: synchronizing
    Phone: sync complete
    Phone: updating android database

When I then push the sync button again the following happens:
    Phone synchronising
    Phone: updating android contacts
    Phone sync complete
    Press ok
But the Pc does nothing and no data is transfered.

When I do press the sync button again it starts with
    Phone: press sync button
    Phone: synchronizing…
    Phone: reading android contacts
    PC: reading all data
    PC sync complete
    Pushed ok on pc
Phone: Press ok when PC sync is complete
    Pressed phone ok
    Phone: USB unmounted
    Phone: preparing sd-card
    Phone: synchronizing
    Phone: sync complete
    Phone: updating android database

and when I then push the sync button it starts with
    Phone synchronising
    Phone: updating android contacts
    Phone sync complete
    Press ok
But the Pc does nothing and no data is transfered.

These two circles keep repeating in this order.
But until now everytime my data is still in DJO.
So we have to wait and see what the future will bring.
It doesn't bother me that the sync does go in these two ways as long as my data keeps getting transfered.

If I get an empty DJO again before my holiday starts I will contact you.
Else I will go on holiday and start syncing my phone when I get back and let you know how that went.

    I'll keep my fingers crossed!

    Hello Thomas,

Well it happened again just now.
    DJO is empty again.

    This is what happened:
When I do press the sync button again it starts with
    Phone: press sync button
    Phone: synchronizing…
    Phone: reading android contacts
    PC: reading all data
    PC sync complete
    Pushed ok on pc
Phone: Press ok when PC sync is complete
    Pressed phone ok
Phone: USB unmounted , this took a few seconds longer than normal. I knew right away that it went wrong. (gut feeling)
And I got the setup wizard again with the text: welcome to DJO.

All the changes I made in my tasks just before I did the sync were transfered to my desktop.
So again I didn't loose any data.
It just emptied my DJO on the phone.

So we can safely say that it isn't the SD Card.

Shall I submit a ticket today or just wait until I am back from my holiday?
