What about future plans in real privacy? Security issue with personal information.

I found that CompanionLink syncs my Palm Desktop software with Android DejaOffice using SQLite database on SD card.

I'm pretty sure that this DB is not encrypted or protected from everyone in any other way.

In case of my G1 stolen practically everyone can open my contacts and other data using this DB. And I can't defend it, any lockscreens and passwords for Android will not help, just open "your SD card :\clusb\companionlink.db" file in text notepad and you'll understand what I'm talking about..

Any plans to fix this security issue? I don't want to sync my data with google mainly because of privacy neded with personal and some business information, so this is important. I think not only for me.

Yes, the database is unencrypted on your G1's SD card. Unless you share it (for example, by syncing to Google), your data won't leave your phone. You might consider looking into a third-party security/remote wipe app that will clear your SD card in the event that your G1 is stolen.
