Advisory July 17, 2010 for Samsung Galaxy S sold as T-Mobile Vibrant

The T-Mobile Vibrant was released yesterday July 16, 2010. We got one.

    1. The sync works fine from PC to DJO

    2. From DJO to the Android Contacts and Android Calendar, sync does not work at all. We anticipate finding the issue and making a release by Wednesday July 21, 2010.

For now, set up the sync and use the DejeContacts, DejaCalendar, DejaTasks and DejaNotes for your activities. You can set shortcuts using a long-press on the desktop, then choose "Shortcuts", "DejaOffice" and then the icon for the app you want. This gives you all capabilities except for capturing incoming calls and SMS messages.

    Thank you for trying DejaOffice

Users of DejaOffice with Samsung Galaxy phones (AT&T Captivate and T-Mobile Vibrant) may notice that the sync with the native Contacts and Calendar apps doesn't work, even when the options to sync with these are enabled in DejaOffice. The problem is that part of the DejaOffice synchronization gets canceled by the device before the sync completes. We should have an update today for DejaOffice that fixes this problem. In the meantime, a workaround is to use the DejaOffice "Read Android Data" function, which will transfer the DejaOffice data to the native contacts/calendar.
