will DejaOffice sync contacts FROM android native contacts?

I use CompanionLink & DejaOffice to sync Outlook 2000 and my android, and also to keep contacts synced with the android native contacts.

I have managed to lose all my contacts in Outlook and also (very stupidly) in DejaOffice on my android .

I still have the native android contact list. Is there a way to suck that back into DejaOffice contacts (and thence to Outlook)?

Any other suggestions welcome. (I'm assuming there is a way via gmail but I'm hoping for something simpler and cloudless)

Should I post this in the DejaOffice PC Sync forum too, or is that regarded as poor behaviour here?

    Thanks

I suddenly remembered reading that companionlink took an automatic backup when syncing. I found some instructions and restored the database. very happy & relieved

    thanks.

I had to restart my phone too for the change to be recognised.

weirdly, some of the colours associated with categories seem to have changed. I don't care, but it is weird.

Yes, often I've had categories magically change colors...
