Open Icalendar (ICS Files) in Deja Calendar

I have the LG Optimus G and cannot get Deja Calendar to open Icalendar files (ICS). I've found apps that will open them but it saves it to my phone calendar instead, which I'm not using.

    Any suggestions?

    Try this:

    1. When you get an ICS in Email, click on the attachment to save it.

    2. This puts the attachment on the notification bar.

    3. Swipe the notification bar, and select the attachment.

    4. It should pop some options and select DejaOffice here.

This should put the ICS appointment into DejaCalendar. If you don't see this result, reply back with which step is different on your phone.

Apparently Andriod doesn't support ICS files. I get the error "the content is not supported."

What version of Android do you have? I think ICS got into 4.0 and higher...

It didn't work because Android doesn't support it.

From Gmail client, I "save" the attachment - it does not show on the notification bar. So.... what could I be doing wrong?

So, DropBox was trying to open the .ics files. I uninstalled dropbox, and now nothing will open the .ics files.

Is there some way to restore an association with DejaOffice?
