Great, I'm looking forward to testing it! Do you have an ETA?

I also noticed the latest update seems to take a bit longer for the calendar to become responsive upon opening.

As I've feared, in the new 3.1.1 (566) BETA, the font used for 15 minute appointments is so small it is practically unreadable. Did someone actually think this was okay??? Is it possible to just expand the height of 15 minute appointments and use a font that is readable?

I may have to go through my entire calendar converting 15 minute appointments into 30 minute appointments so I can read them on my phone...

Plus, none of my calendar alarms are ringing.

I may have to downgrade until these issues are fixed...

I didn't test this with 3.1.1 (566) BETA because I had to downgrade to 2.5.9 (538) BETA because of wrong time shift with recurring events in "summer" and "winter" time. (See my thread)

Test 3.1.1 and see if you like it. See if your alarms ring.

I just downloaded the newest 3.1.1. BETA (568) and the microscopic font still exists for 15 minute appointments. Also, in the DejaAlarms app, the subject overlaps the location. The appointments without locations look good. Recommendation: Don't display locations in DejaAlarms.

Sjamie, I sent a note to our team to look at these on Galaxy S3. I'm using a Note II and both of these look fine. Probably a screen rez issue.

Have you seen the specs on Galaxy S5? Amazing. 1080x1920 which is about what my laptop is. Count on more "microscopic" stuff since this rez allows us to really pack the text in.

DJOA 3.1 is going to get a sweep of screen font changes. In general our proportions of Large/Small is currently 1:0.6, and I think we will got to 1:2.0.6, so the large font will get a bit larger, and be twice as tall as the small font. This is to match Google's style of large/small. Google uses large spacing around all text, but I think we will stick to narrow spacing to allow more content.

We value everyone's input, particularly with older devices, as we try to adjust to the new style and take advantage of these amazing new resolutions.

Yes, the screen specs of the new Galaxy S5 look great. For now, I plan to keep my S3 a bit longer because it meets all of my current needs, fortunately. I am looking forward to the 3.1 font changes as long as I'll be able to READ everything!

I'm not used to complaining about things appearing too small and being hard to read since I'm only 37 years old with better than 20/20 vision.

The font size for 10-15 minute appointments in calendar is absolutely useless in my day view.

To get better overview of the whole day's appointments I use a scaling of 50% (larger scaling displays a to small area of the day); with this scaling short appointments are unreadable.
Perhaps an "Outlook-like" representation should be used where short appointments have a height so that the normal font can displayed and where several appointments are displayed side by side?

I agree! I think I am going to convert all of my appointments with a duration of less than 15 minutes into 30 minute appointments to avoid having to deal with this issue. The positive side is this will add more "wiggle room" into my calendar.
