    Alarms on Beta 3.2.2 (686)

    [ Fixed in build 687??]

Some initial thoughts on the alarms on the new beta 3.2.2 (686)

The persistent alarms now seem to be working on my phone. I do have to have Alarms set to Android 2.0 notifications but this seems to be the normal setting for my phone.

When adding a new calendar event the preset alarm sound selection is "Default Ringtone" which on my phone seems to be "Silent"!! In DejaTasks is the preset sound is "Default Alarm" and this correctly picks up the default notification sound from my Android settings. As a workaround I have meantime set up a "Blank" template with the correct sound for my normal calendar events.

You set the default tone for an event in Options->Alarm settings, instead of needing an entire template.

Your alarms do alarm ok consistently? Is that on your Android4 or 5 device?

    Hi Frans

I think this has been fixed in the latest in-house build 687.

I had checked the Alarm Settings before posting but noticed that there was a new in-house build this afternoon. I have been testing it tonight, only observation is that initial alarm can sound twice. Repeats seem okay.

I don't normally use alarms on Nexus (Android 5) but I did a quick test tonight and it seems okay.

In-house isn't the same as beta is it? I know where to find beta, do I need to create a ticket to get in-house or is their a somewhat hidden link for it?

    Hi Fran's

    Follow this link

    http://www.dejaoffice.com/androidapp/inhouse/

    Look for "DejaOffice.apk"

In-house versions are really pre-beta, this means that they may have some issues. I have been checking them out because I am interested in any developments. Somewhere along the road Alarms lost persistency on my phone. This seems to be fixed now.

I just downloaded what I thought would be billed 687, following the link above, but it was just 686 again. I was interested because sometimes I receive alarms one day late which obviously defeats the purpose of an alarm.

Check build via Settings -> About , *not* via release-notes.

It says 587 for me, and it works better so far

On the in-house builds the release notes usually are those from the last beta version. As they are not official releases and subject to change, why write new release notes. They only way to check version is by going to "About". Sometimes they are slow in updating the beta release notes when new betas uploaded. It can be a couple of days before they update.

You never quite know what they have been working on before you try it out.

    Still having problems! !

I had been testing with a 5 minute interval and the alarm sounded correctly.

Today I reverted to my normal persistent interval of 15 minutes the alarm sounded correctly at 13.00 but did sound again until around 14.30 when pressed the power button and it sounded twice.

I wonder if the phone is going into a deeper sleep state after the initial alarm when interval is longer and DejaOffice is failing to wake the phone when interval is longer.
