    Syncing with MightyText

Does anyone have their contacts syncing with the MightyText app which allows you to send text messages from your computer? It was working flawlessly for me for a long time but recently contacts names from my phone are not showing up in MightyText only the phone numbers appear. I think a recent update to DejaOffice may have blocked the transmission of contact names. All of my non DJO contacts (e.g. Skype, Google, etc.) sync perfectly with MightyText. I'm currently running the latest DJO Beta 3.2.2 BETA (686). MightyText has not had an update recently which is why I think the problem may be with DJO.

    Have any thoughts or suggestions?
    Mobile Device: OnePlus 5
    Android Version: 8.1
    DJO Version: 4.4.11 (build 1091)
    CompanionLink Build: 6048
    Syncing with: Outlook 2010
    Sync Method: DejaCloud Sync
    Android Contacts Sync Account: DejaOffice
    Computer OS: Windows 7 (64-Bit)

Does your data show up right in the Native DejaOffice Contacts?

Yes, sir! Thankfully, DJO and Companionlink are functioning properly. The only issue is DJO contact names are not showing up in MightyText. I can still send and receive texts with MT but I have to remember phone numbers.

    Sjamie,

I realize it's ok in DejaContacts.

But also we send the names to the native "DejaOffice Contacts". So if you open Android Contacts, can you see a folder there called DejaOffice. Are the names correct there?

If not, that' just a setting in DejaOffice (Sync with Native Contacts).

Yes, all of my DJO Contacts show up properly in the "Native Android Contacts". That's what you're asking, right?

    Wow, That's pretty cool stuff.

In DejaOffice, are you synchronizing contact names to the Android DejaOffice Account? This accout does NOT sync to Google.

I think MightyText is pulling off the Google list of names.

So try going to DejaOffice Settings, Sync Settings, and set the Native Contact sync to a google account with your right email address.

Then select Delete contacts froom Android Contacts App "DejaOffice"

Finally, on the main DejaOffice screen, long-press on "Read Android Data.". This will move DejaContacts data to your Google Account. Give the Google account time to sync, and then MightyText should pick it up.

    I hope this helps.

Yes, I'm sure syncing with a Google account woukd fix the problem but I purchased CompanionLink so I could avoid syncing w/ Google. :-) Mighty text used to work well with my contacts being stored in the DJO account on my phone.

Are you sure they were really syncing with the phone, or just with past-synchronized Google contacts?

Yes, I'm sure. I've never synced my contacts with Google. I'm using a similar app, mySms, which has no problem syncing with my DJO contacts but this app has other issues. Sigh...
