    HI,

I am a very satisfied user of Deja Office. However, I miss some features I had on my old Nokia/Symbian phone. That is:

    1. On deleting a recurring appointment, the possibility to delete this occurence and all older ones.
    2. The possibility to enter a name field in the subject field of Calender from Contacts by pressing a button which shows a list of contacts.
    3. The possibility to enter a 'Reminder', i.e. an appointment with the same beginning- and ending time. I tried this but by using the appointment it does not work correctly.

    Kind regard,

    Remco van den Berg
    The Netherlands.

comptuter, name in the subject is item 2 on Remcov's list.

It's not the case that we intended to ignore suggestions from two years ago. At various times in development our "good ideas" list has ranged as high as about 200 items. Things only get done if we can pare the list to top tier items to do.

Right now we are focused on cosmetics and usefulness. My new agenda is "DejaOffice 2016" which will bring some material design changes, new icons, and a real review of the field order and field location on the screens. That is; not real feature changes, no real functionality changes, but just small tweaks to make the app work more smoothly. This set of changes fit well with that agenda.

My developer says these three items are done. See what you think.

DJOCTO was referring to the list in the first post in this thread, made by Remcovandenberg.

He's saying your request is basically the same as #2 on the wishlist in the first post. I believe the apk he linked to is an in-house version that hasn't been released yet in which all 3 of the requests in post 1 added. He is inviting folks to try it out and see if it works the way you want and give them feedback.
Sadly, I can no longer use CL or DJO as I have replaced Outlook with Thunderbird and Pimlical Desktop. Pimlical, since moving to Java 8 is no longer compatible with Companion Link. I will lurk about just because I am interested. Please let me know if the Pimlical compatibility problem ever changes and thanks to all here for your support and help over the years. This is the best software for synching Outlook to Android.

Thanks for info. I tried the apk, wrt Contact populating the Subject field it doesn't work. Neither does the Subject field bring up a contact list. I have approx 5 appts per day. The Subject of my appt is the Contact. Now I have to double enter the information. People who have lots of appts with Contacts could find it helpful to have the option to enter the Contact and have it also in the Subject field.

On the new build do the following:

Go to Calendar, press "+" too create a new Calendar event.
Under the subject line there is a new button labeled "Add Contact". Press this.

Does it not work for you?

I aldo tried the add Contact to see if it would populate the Subject field but now it isn't necessary.

The "Add Contact " is missing 3.2.27 (881). Will it be re - instated?
