    Block-modify categories

Hello, is there a way to change the category of several/many contacts in one go rather than individually?
I had too many categories in my contacts (more than 15) so all my contacts in category "admin" - the first one alphabetically got shifted to "no category" when I synced my tab to the cloud and back to my Edge. Rather than painfully changing the category again manually I'd like to shift them all back to "admin" en bloc.
I have in the meantime reduced the categories in Contacts to 15.

    Happy to get some help.

Oyle, there is nothing in the App that would help here.

It sounds like you are using Palm Desktop on the PC.

    I can suggest two things:

    1) Fix them in Palm Desktop by viewing the list and clicking on the category entry.

    2. Export from Palm Desktop, fix in Excel, then import.

I'm sorry for the problem. Palm Desktop has an age-old limitation of only 15 categories. So the sync system "unsets" any that it finds greater than that number.

Thanks DJOCTO. That was my next question: how to overcome the 15 category limitation in PDT - without having to cut out any of my categories - as I would like to continue syncing DJO with PDT. The strange thing is that I was syncing directly to the cloud from my Samsung tab and not through PDT/PC when all my contacts in category "admin" were simply put in "My Contacts"! At least I did not lose them! An alternative question (no answer found despite extensive trawling on the internet...): is there an equivalent PIM alternative to PDT which also permits syncing to DJO via Companionlink? I'm sure lots of people have asked this question...
    Thanks in advance

PS: How is the development going for the DJO version on Windows (PCs or laptops)? Any updates in view? Seems to me like the best option to have all data in one's DJO Android and Windows devices and to sync via the cloud. And would also overcome the 15 category limitation.... Or am I wrong?

Oyle, We have not seen a good replacement for Palm Desktop. The Closest is Essential PIM which we do NOT sync to although they have their own mobile Apps.

DJO for Windows 10 is still a gleam in my eye. The programmer who would do it is working on the following:

DJOA - 2016 - Material Design UI release. This will be done in Feb and released in March 2016
    DJOA - Widget updates - March 2016
DJOW10 - Looking for release in early summer June/July 2016
