Exclamation Rewcurring task - no new reminders if old task not completed, but alarm dismissed

    Hallo,

I have a DAILY recurring task to remind me to to a very important thing every morning. Today I found out, that DO does not create a new task or ar least fires an alarm if I did not complete the task from yesterday but (by mistake) just dismissed the alarm.

In my opinion there should be at least an alarm for the "old" task because right now it could happen to miss a task.

Please note: I do not have a task series which should create a new one xxx days after competing the last one, but with daily recurrence.

A solution might be: Dismissing an alarm of recurring "elements" does not really dismiss them but snooze them till the beginning of the next (right now not existing) instance.

Right now, you would need to complete it for the new task to exist, which has the alarm.

You remind me of what I call the "Pill Taker" functionality. I observed some time ago that some people need intraday tasks; or once a day tasks, and these can be organized like business tasks. I've observed that with the baby boomers aging, there are more and more of us who take certain prescriptions every day. Since I do it every day, if I don't keep on my schedule then I don't know 10 minutes later if I took it today or yesterday. At one point I was going to a CBT specialist to learn how to relax better. He suggested an hourly alarm (which I used) as a reminder to set feet flat on the floor, and take a deep breath.

It's in my mind to add a "daily tasks" feature to DejaOffice. Something that checks off my day, with Took a Pill, Said "I love you honey", and other things that are important to me to do every day.

    TIA for that feature.

In my case it's not a pill, nor "I love you honey", but a (boring) IT-thing, which can't be automated ... ;-)
