Unhappy ZTE Axon 7 Laucher crashes when trying to place DejaOffice widget

My ZTE Axon 7 Laucher app crashes whenever I try to put a DejaOffice widget onto any of my starter screens, even a blank one. Any clues?

    (ZTE A2017G_4840, Android 7.1.1, Kernel 3.18.31, Build A2017GV1.2.0B04)

    Best Greetings,
    Harald

    Harald, welcome to the forum.

We are going to have our developer look at it. We do not have a ZTE phone here, and they are a bit expensive.

    Harald,

One test you can make is to install Nova Launcher (the free version) or any other launcher and then switch to that launcher. If that works okay, it is probably something about the ZTE launcher. If not, then it may be something about the ZTE.

I would also make sure you have the very latest version of DJO as they just pushed an update Monday thhat seems to fix problems that might not be unrelated to your. See this thread:

    https://www.dejaoffice.com/forums/sh...-version-4-3-4

Just some ideas while you are waiting. Hope they help.
Sadly, I can no longer use CL or DJO as I have replaced Outlook with Thunderbird and Pimlical Desktop. Pimlical, since moving to Java 8 is no longer compatible with Companion Link. I will lurk about just because I am interested. Please let me know if the Pimlical compatibility problem ever changes and thanks to all here for your support and help over the years. This is the best software for synching Outlook to Android.

I can recommend Nova launcher. I use it on my tablet as it gives clean interface on my tablet which came with some customisation from it's supplier. It can be found on Play Store.

Harald, we have finished our investigation. We found reports that other Apps are also having problems placing widgets on ZTE Axon 7. We think it is an issue with the OS that will be fixed soon by ZTE. We are not purchasing a unit at this time, because we don't feel this is fixable by us.

Try the launcher suggested here. That should work.

I am having the same issue with my Moto Force Z. This is the only app I'm having an issue with because when I quickly scroll past DejaOffice, it doesn't crash.

Just updated my phone to the Motorola G5 and get the same problem. "Launcher 3" crashes when I get anywhere near the Dejaoffice widgets in widget selection list.

This should be fixed now. It is in our beta release. Download from this link on your phone:
