New computer; want to sync Android with Palm Desktop

Have been using CompanionLink to sync Galaxy 4 to Palm Desktop on a Windows 10 computer.
Now have new computer. Wondering whether steps should be performed in this order:
Download Palm 6.22 desktop software to new computer.
Enter name for my Android & set up to "Run as Administrator"
Download CompanionLink software to new computer.
Set up to sync with Android? Or copy files from old desktop (via thumb drive) to new desktop, and then sync?
I have data back to 2003, usually sync Android to Palm; Android is primary.
If I put today's backup files on thumb drive, will CompanionLink recognize and only update since last sync files?
    TIA
    Nancy

Any order is fine. Coaxing Palm to find the data files under Windows 10 is a challenge. See this article:

Thanks DJOCTO, I got impatient and followed all the steps in that article last night. Downloaded and installed Palm Desktop 6.22 and CompanionLink 6.
Now I'm not sure which would be the best way to migrate the data (13 years' worth) so that at next USB sync with Android I won't get duplicates of everything.
If I transfer all Palm data to new PC with thumb drive, will next sync (Android to Palm, with Android as primary)
with CompanionLink recognize and only update since last sync files? Even though those files were on a different computer at the last sync?

Yes. It will be a slower sync, but CL will "rematch" the records.

After the first time it will be fast again.

Can't get it to sync after loading Palm data onto new computer

Have succeeded in moving all data to Palm Desktop.
    Have registered CompanionLink software.
Don't think I need to: "To synchronize via Direct USB, connect the device in MTP Mode or File Transfer mode" because I have always had Samsung Galaxy 4 set to File Transfer Mode - I think. Could use directions on how to do this if it is something I need to change.
But CompanionLink tells me to touch "sync" in Deja Office, and when I do, Deja tells me to touch "sync" in CompanionLink.
    Nothing happens.
