Unable to find companionlink.db or manual backup files

    Hello,

On my Samsung S6 Edge, (which doesn't have an expansion storage card) I cannot find the companionlink.db file anymore, which previously was located in the clusb folder and which one could backup manually (under general settings/logging and support settings/backup database). This manual backup apparently does not work anymore, ie: if you chose this function you get a message telling you where the manual backup is stored, but it doesn't exist.
I searched high and low and came to the conclusion that all the files like companionlink.db, alarms.db etc. are now all zipped to log.zip or should be whenever you add a new item to DJO. This zip file is stored on your phone most likely in /sdcard/clusb/.

I checked again today, still cannot find the dB file or past manual backups. And although I added new entries today, the zip file date has not changed.

So where is the file? And the manual backup? And what do I do if I need to restore the whole database?

Thanks for your help, this is quite worrying

Oyle, I apologize for the lack of response here. I sent this out to team members Friday morning, but no one had ideas (yet).

We'll contact you Monday to get this resolved.

Was this ever resolved? I have a pixel 2 running Android 9. I went to back up my Deja Office files and can't find the clusb folder. I'm not able to connect my phone to my pc. The charging port is a little loose and the connection too intermittent for a data transfer. I was using the ES Browser on my phone to search for the file locally. I can find the Android/data/com.companionlink.clusbsync folder, there are no files in it and no companionlink.db file anywhere on the phone when I search.

    Maurer,

    Check here for me:

    1. Open DejaOffice
    2. Tap Search in the top right
    3. In the search type: cldebug
    4. Select Debug Options that appears in the results
    5. Scroll to the bottom of this menu, is "Use Local Storage for DB" checked?

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for the reply. I looked and Local Storage for DB is already checked.

I just migrated to a Pixel 3 and all my deja office contacts moved over with the Android transfer software so it must be somewhere on the phone. The clusb folder does not appear on the new phone either.

Ok, first, use these steps to email youself a copy of the database:

    1. Open DejaOffice on the device
    2. Tap settings, tap Logging and Support Settings
    3. Select Start Logging to check it
    4. Tap Email Support and in the email template that opens erase the support email address and enter your own email address and send.

You should get an email with a log.zip, inside this zip file will be a copy of the database. Ensure you see companionlink.db in the zip with a current date, just to ensure we have a good copy. If so, then:

    1. Open DejaOffice
    2. Tap the Search in the top right and type: cldebug
    3. In the results select Debug Options.
    4. Scroll to the bottom of this menu and uncheck "Use Local Storage for DB"
    5. Return to the main menu of DejaOffice, and tap Exit
    6. Reopen DejaOffice and just take a look at the data, everything should be unchanged but just confirm.

Now check the Root Internal Storage on the device for a CLUSB Folder
