Going back to an earlier build of DJO?

Dealing with my USB sync problem, which seemed to start with an update of DJO around June 6, I'm wondering about going back to an earlier version for now. Questions -
    1. How do I put an older version back on my phone?
    then
    2. How to I prevent it from automatically updating?

It was fine at DJO 4.4.2, build 1038

    Thanks,
    Marjory

    Hello.

This is what I did (I had to install version DejaOffice 4.3.9 (1025) (2/13/2018), different problem than yours):

    1.
    Uninstall DejaOffice in your phone.
Go to http://www.dejaoffice.com/androidapp/releasenotes.html, choose the version you want. In my case, the file was downloaded to my pc then transfer to my phone.
Install the version transferred to your phone in previous step. You have to change settings to accept Android OS to install Apps from "Unidentified Sources", this can be done under Configuration > General > Fingerprints and Security > Unidentified Sources
Follow the steps to configure sync. In my case I use DejaCloud.

    2.
Configuring PlayStore to prevent automatic updates didn't work in my case. I had to do this:
    - I had to choose "Update apps only with WiFi", you can find this in Configuration of PlayStore.
    - Every time I charge my phone, apps were updated automatically. To prevent this, I turn off WiFi in my phone BEFORE charge.

    Keep in mind that:

My Android OS is in Spanish, I tried to do my best to translate menus and options to English to write this post.
English is not my native language, so this post should be full of mistakes, I'm sorry.

If you need to clarify anything, I will be glad to help you.

Thanks! I'm saving this in case I need to try it, and really appreciate the details about preventing automatic updates.
