Can't install old DJO from APK file ("application not installed")

    Hallo!

Any idea, why my phone does not install DJO from apk-files which I downloaded from the server? I want to do a downgrade because of this issue

I tried several file manager and also to open the apk directly from chrome on my phone ...

You can't install an older version over a newer version. You have to uninstall the newer version first, then install the older version. It's an Android thing, I think. I've had this issue with other apps as well.
    PC: Windows 7, 64 bit
CompanionLink build #: Companionlink 8 for Outlook, Build 8039
Data Manager App: Outlook 2010 64-bit
    Mobile Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960F) Thailand;
    OS: Android 9, Build #: N960FXXS2CSDJ
    DejaOffice version#: 4_4_22_1143
    Sync Method with CompanionLink: DejaCloud
DejaOffice Sync Settings for Contacts: Selected, sync with Android, Account = DejaOffice.
DejaOffice Sync Settings for Calendar: Not selected.
    Native Contacts Account: DejaOffice

It's the browser. I forget which one. I think it's Chrome that no longer allows you to install apk files. Try using the built-in browser to download it.

It's not the browser. I tried with two different file manager apps, too.

Maybe Eagle 3 is right. But I was frightend to uninstall the current release ...

    Michael,

You will have to uninstall the current version first, upgrades can be installed over top of current installs, but to Downgrade, you have to start with DejaOffice uninstalled. The DejaOffice data is not removed from an Uninstall of DejaOffice.

For some extra piece of mind, you can make a manual backup of the DejaOffice data by opening DejaOffice, tapping Settings, selecting Logging and Support and choosing Backup Database. You can either email yourself a copy or save it to the Internal Android Storage.
