Unhappy Tasks not transferring properly with Wifi Sync

    Hi,

When I sync Tasks all tasks are imported into Android as low priority. The sync also messes up my category colours with every sync (each sync changes the colours).

    I run a SE X10 and Outlook 2007 on Vista Business 64.

DO is ver. 1.8.3 and CL is build 4022.

When I sync via USB the priorities transfer correctly.

    Please help!

    Cheers,

    Treb

Btw, ver. 1.4 or thereabouts had really useful task filtering, which is now rather basic. Can we expect an improvement here any time soon?

    We'll check into the coloring.

The task filtering has been set to match Palm Treo. What type of filtering do you need?

Version 1.4 allowed you to sequence filtering (e.g. by priority, then date) if I remember correctly. I found that to be a very useful feature and was a bit miffed at the time because I had just paid for the software on the basis of what the demo version offered, only to find that it was removed with the next update of the full version. Don't know why it was removed. Please also have a look at why the wifi sync does not import the priorities correctly (the USB sync does).

The priorities are undergoing a lot of modification in 1.9.

The Primary/Secondary sort options were removed because 98% of users could not understand them. We moved the sort orders to what Palm and BlackBerry have offered.

Is there another sort order you generally used?

Hahahah .... well .... I really liked to be able to sort by date first and then by priority, that way you can see the urgent tasks and secondary tasks for that day at a glance.

What is your ETA on 1.9?

1.9.2 is in beta test. 1.9.3 will be released soon. I'm expecting 1.9 to be in Android Marketplace in early December.

Beta releases are available at http://www.dejaoffice.com/androidapp

Sweet! Priority problem sorted! Thanks Guys!

The category colours still get screwed up with every sync, but that is only a minor ....
