    CompanionLink Synchronize

I want to use CompanionLink sending PalmDesktop to android.
But Japanese Palmdesktop character encoding is SJIS. (shift_jis) not UTF-8.
So I can not see text correctly on android after sending data.
Could you convert character SJIS to UTF-8?
Also Palmdesktop does not work with UTF-8.

    Regards,

He is talking about Palm DESKTOP, which is the Desktop application from Palm to go to PalmOS devices.
Companion Link (=Deja Office) offers a USB sync software to link the Palm Desktop to the Android phones so you can manage all your Deja Office Calendar, Tasks, Notes, etc on the PC locally without going trough the cloud (in fact not even requiring a Internet connection which is great when you are on the road country side or don't have a flat rate) or the horrible Outlook. (Anybody who has seriously used Palm desktop and compared it to Outlook normally tends to agree with this conclusion)
Considering that the Palm Desktop has been around for over 13 Years and basically only ever has been slightly improved over the previous versions, not seeing a complete re-code (to my knowledge) I doubt that it will/ can support any other encoding than the built in one (which seems to be different for the Japanese Version) and it would need to be done purely on the Deja Office side (via the DJO sync software).

If you are willing to send us a copy of your Palm Desktop Data file we can encode it so you will be able to view it on your device.
    Please send it to:
    support@dejaoffice.com

    In the subject line put:
    Attn - Belinda

Let me know if you have any questions or need any assistance with the export.

    Hi team,

I can encode Palm desktop data file to UTF-8 file. Example, file name is Contacts_utf8.vcf.
But I can not import this vcf file to Palm Desktop correctly.
So I can not send Android device by using your CompanionLink.
Do you have any good idea without modifying CompanionLink?
