CampanionLink Syncs Every 5 Minutes

I have CompanionLink Auto-Sync set to Realtime, Sync Time to Always synchronize and Use Outlook Addin, but looking at recordchanges.log, it updates every 5 minutes. I sync to DajaCloud.

I have Windows 11, Outlook 365, CompanionLink 10039.61,. But the problem occurs with 10038 too.

It's not a big deal, but why is this happening?

Why is this necessary? I have no problem with sync without it. It's just filling up the log file. Maybe provide and option to turn it off.

Eagle,

The file size is minimal, this helps us troubleshoot auto sync issues. I will talk to the higher ups about it, however we haven't make any changes here.

I understand your need for it. I look at the log all the time to see if something has synced. I have to scroll through hundreds of superfluous syncs to find what I want. Is there something that I can do to stop this? An older CompanionLink that I could install?

I have been testing this. Can you confirm you are on Real Time sync in the Advanced Settings? Could you provide a few sample lines? I do not see this in my recordchanges logs after leaving auto sync on for an hour.

Currently I'm using to latest beta, but I tried older CompanionLinks, 10037and 10038, with the same result.

In settings I have, Realtime checked, Use Outlook Addin checked, Automatically Merge Duplicates checked, and Always Synchronize checked.

Eagle,

Try the following update:

https://www.companionlink.com/files/special/beta/CompanionLink10_beta.exe

Once installed press Ctrl + Shift + U. In this menu put a check in "Minimal Record Changes" and click Ok. This should only show Add\Update\Delete line items.

Thanks Thomas. Much better. But I still get the one line: "Updated: Outlook" every 5 ,minutes.
