CL6050 - Update after month - what's new?

"Never change a running system" - so why should somebody update to 6050? It's the first update since ... I can't remember. ;-)

Michael,

Updates and improvements are done in CompanionLink 7 (our current release). So you should switch to that to get the latest features.

We support USB Sync with iPhone. Apple does not. (Think about that a minute). Because we sync using unofficial techniques, each iOS update requires a new CompanionLink to support USB Sync.

Sometimes we make the determination with an older release that we would get so many phone calls, it would not be worthwhile to force everyone to update to the current release, even though they need a current feature. In this case, people with an older iPhone were forced to update (for free) to iOS 10 by Apple. So we have added our iOS 10 USB code to the older CL6 release.

Of course, those with CL7 had it back in September. I was a little slow on deciding to push this in CL6.
