    Next DejaCloud release?

I see that the current version of DejaCloud (1.2.4) hasn't been upgraded since January 13, 2016. Will it ever be upgraded?

I have reported several bugs and performance is horrible, so I know it has problems that need to be fixed.

I'm also reluctant to upgrade to CompanionLink 8, because the lack of site maintenance makes it seem as if this product is on its way out.

I love the product, but can't recommend it to others until some of the bugs are fixed and performance improves.

    Is there any hope?

    Drew welcome to the forums.

I don't currently have a developer capable of making changes on the website. We are actively modifying the database. But the best way to get the changes is to use a PC App, Android or iPhone. The CRM System online was a great idea, but hasn't been commercially viable. Cloud databases are free.

For performance - use a different browser than Chrome. For some reason, Chrome is throttling the memory the site needs to perform. Most people find good performance with Firefox.

DejaOffice CRM Live vs Cloud Syncing?

I am glad I found the forums here, because I was getting ready to send a list of problems that the DejaOffice CRM Live has and end my rant with the conclusion that, for me, DJ CRM Live is not an option. So now my main question is how does Cloud Sync handle the fields that are missing from DJ CRM Live that are built in to DJA PC, DJO Android, Outlook and anywhere else that CompanionLink will sync to (e.g. contact prefix and suffix, custom fields, etc...). Those fields won't show up in DJ CRM Live obviously, but do they still sync? Somehow I was confusing the DJ CRM Live application with Cloud Syncing, thinking they were synonymous.

FWIW, I really wish there was a way to make DJ CRM Live viable. DJ Android is a super product and DJ PC is getting pretty close to super. The web application would be icing.

        Carrdwight, welcome to the forums.

Think of DJOL as a viewport on the data that is synchronized. The view is not perfect, as you note there are fields missing. Most of these are fields we added relatively recently. But also there are certain features we could not program well in the mix of Java/PHP code that DJOL App uses.

Our next plan for DJOL is to update the list system (a Java library) to more current code that can handle larger databases. We may work at that time to update colors and add the missing fields. However, we are not in a position to spend thousands of dollars on development on this platform like we do on the Android, iPhone and PC platforms.

It remains a quick view of the sync data for the rare times you do not have a phone or pc nearby.
