    Intermittent SD card mounting problems

Every once in a while, DJO will do a force close and/or tell me that my SD card is unmounted. All other apps will still be able to read the SD card. When this happens, if I happen to be near a computer, I can plug in, get the USB connector thing, actualy mount as USB Mass Storage, then switch back to Charge Only, and the problem goes away.

However, it's getting pretty annoying, in two particular cases:

    1. If I'm trying to access something when I'm out and about with no computer nearby, so I can't connect it to get the USB connector thing (is there another setting or app I can use to dismount/remount the SD card?)

    2. Sometimes it happens in the middle of a sync. That just happened to me (I upgraded to 1.10 and the latest CompanionLink last night, so it's still there in those versions).

    I'm on a Droid X, running System version 2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US

    Rob,

Sorry for the inconvenience. I am going to do some research and see if there is tool or utility for this. If anyone on the forum has suggestions I would love to hear from you.

Thomas - I have the same or similar problem. Have a new Atrix and while I have been able to Sync with CompanionLink to Outlook 2010 a few times, it is a very frustrating experience. Most of the time when start 'Sync', it will unmount the SD card, then the Sync gets hung up. Since I'm new to the Atrix, it's a bit of a struggle to find a way to remount the SD (the menu choice is dimmed until I disconnect the USB, etc).

CompanionLink and DeJa Office seem like the right solution for me, but this has to work reliably.
      Thanks
      Al

I have the same problem as mentioned above. Quite often recently, Dejaoffice forces closed and then tells me that the SD card is unavailable. It is very hard to predict when it will do this. I usually need to reboot the phone to get it to work again. Please help! Thanks

Over this past weekend I had the SD card issue 3 times on my EVO with DJO 1.10.7 and CL Pro 4032. So far, resolving this problem requires resetting my EVO to Factory Settings.

            Encounter Same Problem

I use an HTC EVO Shift on Sprint, Android 2.2. About 10% of the time I sync, it unmounts the SD card from the device and I have to take the phone apart, and remove the battery to get the phone to recognize the card again. This often occurs when the Companion link hangs in the syncing process. I have trouble shooted by trying to connect the phone to the computer a certain way (HTC Sync / Disk Drive / Charge only, etc.), but it seems to be very random. Sometimes the sync works and sometimes it doesn't. I hope future releases will be more stable.

The ideal setting is Charge Only. THis kind of feedback helps so we can concentrate on making the right kind of improvements.

              Thanks everyone.

I have similar problems with Android 4.1.2. I suddenly cannot access DejaOffice on my Motorola Razr-i, and when I try this pops up: "Unable to access SD card. Un-mount your device from the PC and change your USB connection type to Charge Only". However this version of Android does not appear to have the 'Charge Only' option anymore. Rebooting, unmounting and remounting SD card does not work either. Is there another solution? Thanks.

                    ARigby, welcome to the forum.

The message is in error. You just need to update from the App store. The message is a by-product of a mistake we made in build numbers, and so it pushed a false build out to some phones.

Started getting this message after upgrade to Build 593. This probably led to the "unable to find database" messages which I also got.

Had to revert to Version 2.5.9
