    Cannot Sync using WIFI

    Hello,
I am having a problem getting my Atrix 4G to sync wirelessly. I can browse fine, but when I run CompanionLink to sync my phone I constantly get the message "Unable to connect to remote device". This has worked in the past, but is not working now.
    Thanks,

    Hi Inichoalds,

So sorry you are having trouble with this.
The first thing I would check is verify that your Wireless router hasn't changed the IP address of your Android Phone. (It will do this randomly and and then WiFi sync stops working)
    Follow these steps:
    1. Launch DejaOffice and open Settings.
    2. Select Sync Settings and Tap Wi-Fi Settings.
Note the IP address and the device name.

Compare that to the setting in the CompanionLink Setup app.
    1. Launch CompanionLink Setup on your PC.
    2. CLick on the Android Settings iCon.
    3. Verify that the IP addresss and Device names match.
If they do not match enter the Phone's IP address and device name into CompanionLink Setup.
    Attempt to Sync again.

Let me know how this goes.

Thanks for the reply Thomas. The IP address are the same. I think I may have stumbled across the answer (I think). I tried to initiate the sync from the phone by using the DJO sync feather. When I did it, the sync feature directed me to start the sync on PC. Once I did that it started working okay. Does that make any sense to you?

      Thanks

Yes, that is a built in security system so you don't accidentally sync with another PC equipped with CompanionLink Desktop SW.
GLad to hear things are working again!
