Calendar events: let's learn from the "Master"

Let's say we have a calendar event starting at 10.00AM and ending at 11.00AM.

If we change the starting moment from 10.00AM to 10.30AM, the ending moment on DJO remain unchanged. On Palm the ending moment was moving accordingly to the starting moment, half an hour ahead.

Palm logic IMHO was preferable, and this behavior should be added to a DJO wishlist.
    WinXP - Palm Desktop 4.2 - Sony Xperia ZR - Android 4.2.2 - CL 5.0 (B.5070) - DJO 2.5.2 (484) - Hotsync 6.1.0 - WiFi Sync

Duly noted! I agree. We are in a bit of a feature freeze right now. Our primary goal is to get DejaOffice for iPhone caught up with the Android world and to continue with bug fixes on DejaOffice for Android. But I agree with you and have added it to my list.

    Thanks!

Another ergonomic feature is the ability to do a "vertical compression" of unused time in daily view.

DJO show about 9 hours of daily view (e.g. from 8.00AM to 5.00PM or from 2.00PM to 11.00PM) depending on scrolling up or down.

Palm compresses unused time so if you have an event at 7.00AM and another one at 10.00PM and nothing in between, you can see both of them with no need of scrolling up and down.

At least a small sign to warn you that for the day you are looking at in daily view, there is an event which is "out of sight" and you have to scroll (up or down) should be advisable.

        Hey NickStick,

I will provide your feedback to the dev team for consideration. My understanding of this is that we added the list view as a way of viewing events in a compressed format. But you offer a good point. Thank you for that.

          Alarm for all day events:

I use a standard "30' before" for events alarm to go off.

So if I have an event at midnight (I hope I won't ) the alarm will go off at 11.30 pm.

If I have an all day event (no specific time) it means that during that day I will have to do something.

I think alarm for all day event should not ring (as it happens) at 11.30 pm while I'm sleeping!

(Palm all day events had no ringing for all day event alarms)

An option like "Omit Ring for All Day events" would be greatly appreciated!

          Cheers.

          Nicola
