How do I stop these duplicate contacts occurring?

I'm using the latest DJO and Companionlink with Nexus 1 2.2 and Outlook 2007.
Syncing on wi-fi with Outlook as main and sync both ways, duplicate contacts are created when there is more than one email address for a single contact.
For instance in Outlook a contact has a work and private email address listed under EMAIL and EMAIL2.
After syncing, all of my contacts which have more than one email address have a separate entry for that contact with the different email address in each entry.
When I open one of these contacts all of the email addresses are listed on the screen so why does it have duplicate contact entries in the main contact list?
    Galaxy S2 stock Android 4. DJO 2.2.9 (341) CompanionLink 5 Build 5050. Outlook 2007 on Windows 7.

    Hello MrBlobby,
This may be a due to CompanionLink Setting. Lets check there first and eliminate that possibility. If you are using CompanionLink build 4044 follow these steps:
    1. Open CompanionLink Setup and click on Outlook Settings.
    2. Open the Applications Tab and check the Conflicts section.
    3. If Create Duplicate is selected that could be why you are experiencing this.
Please update us here on the outcome.

OK Good. Just wanted to make sure we had it configured correctly.
        Is your Outlook data correct?
If so I would back up Outlook and do a a Purge N Reload Contacts.

Ah but the problem is that duplicates have now been entered on the phone and in Outlook.
When I say duplicates, they are not an identical record as now in Outlook one will have the first email address, and the other the 2nd email.
I will have to wade through Outlook and make sure I delete the correct one so that the main email address is shown on a single contact entry.
This will have to be done before doing a purge and will take an hour or so.
Annoying this as my Outlook was perfect until the sync and as it only backs up each shut down I would lose a few days work if I loaded the backed up file.
Incidentally, I have now noticed that a contact can have no email address listed but if the notes section is different it still creates an extra entry on the phone and in Outlook for that contact; each entry the same apart from the different notes.
Likewise, the notes can be identical but a duplicate will be created for each email address.
Any record with one or no email address and identical notes does not get duplicated.
I haven't used DJO for a couple of months due to things like this and was hoping it would be more sorted out by now.
I'll persevere for now and see how things pan out.

            Mr Blobby,

Before running the PnR follow these Steps:
            1. Launch CompanionLink Setup on your PC Desktop.
            2. Press the following keys on your keyboard:
            "CTRL"+"SHIFT"+"L"
            3. Verify the Logging enabled message displays. THis will turn on logging for 24 hours in CompanionLink. If we have further problems we are taking a snapshot and you can submit the logs.

            Thanks

So far so good. I deleted the duplicates in Outlook, did a purge a reload of contacts Outlook to phone and all OK (although the CL screen hung with just a white blank and I had to force close DJO).

              Hope it doesn't happen again.

Glad to hear things are getting better. Let me know if you get the CL screen hanging and force close of DJO is needed again.
