    Problem with interupted synchronization

Accidentially a sync process was interupted.
After that I am not longer able to sync again nor can I start any DJO application
(error message: an Sd card is required to synchronize and store data).

I tried a lot (switching off, putting the SD card out and in) but the problem persists.
I tried "settings/SD&Phone Storage/unmount SD card", but the state does not change
    (not grayed out).
With a file manager I can see the content of the SD but the applications installed on SD are not available.

    Can anybody give a hint?

Setup: HTC Desire Z, Windows XP, DJO 1.11.7

    Regards Guenter

    Hello Guenter,

In the file manager app can you see a folder on the SD card named "CLUSB"?

      Hi again,

      the folder CLUSB is there.
I solved the problem by taking the SD card out and run CHKDSK on the PC.
I hope that no data are lost!!! I have to rely on my calender and my tasks.

Today the same thing happened again :-(
Unfortunately I have no SD card reader in my laptop so I have to delay the repairing attempt till eve.

Due to the "exposed" location of the SD card slot it is not very funny to that very often (dismount hard cover, back cover, battery, SD ... and reverse)!

Is there an app available, that can do a "chkdsk" also?

      regards Guenter

        Hi again,

the story is not over ... unfortunately

After the last break the SD card was o.k (CHKDSK).
Switching on the Desire brought everything back (DJO, other apps on SD).

But the next time I tried to synchronize the following happend:
Starting sync on Andoid -> Alert (as usual) when finished ....
I did not see any reaction from Companionlink (no program window, no Icon in the task bar, no alert window)
Then the alert window on the android vanished
After that the "ready-alert" from CL came up but I had no chance to confirm on the android

This brought me back to the known "read only" situation. This time switch off/on did not help.
The sync was done already (at least from Android to Outlook).

        Any hints?
        Günter

          Hello Gunter,

I would restart my PC and the phone and try to Sync again.
