Bug in DjO 1.11.9 - doesn't show tasks in today view

    So, this is the bug.
DjO 1.11.9. Setting in today "show overdue" or "show today", doesn't matter.
    Shows 0 tasks.

Same time go to tasks view. Same setting (overdue for example). See 2 tasks.

How can it be? Tasks view works well, today view doesn't show what it should show.

    Hello Mar00k,

DejaToday can be configured to show the following options:
    Calendar
    Tasks
    Calendar and Tasks

Can you verify you have DejaToday set to show both?
    1. Open DejaToday and Tap the DejaToday Header Bar
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Check the Show Option. You should see a drop down menu that opens up.
    4. Please verify the Calendar and Tasks, or the Tasks option is selected in this setting.

    Thanks.

In answer for your question: I have setting "calendar and tasks". But the same appearance if I choose "tasks only".

Well, Today I ready to explain more clearly where I see bug.

"Show Option":"Overdue" "View":"today" "What shows":"only tasks that due in the past".
"Show Option":"Today" "View":"today" "What shows":"nothing. nothing at all"
"Show Option":"Overdue" "View":"tasks" "What shows":"tasks due in the past, and tasks due today"
      "Show Option":"Today" "View":"tasks" "What shows":"tasks for tomorrow"

As I see you change some behavour in Today view (in tasks view everything as it was in older versions). But now this option is really confusing, and leads to different tasks list in today and tasks views when the same options applied...
Well, I prefer old behavour of "overdue" option. Because usually I need to see tasks for today and at the same moment - uncompleted tasks (if any) from the past.

Can you check this post, and answer for small question: what to set up in today view to see tasks due today and due in the past? I can't find appropriate option.

I find the Today view pointless.
Tasks due today disappear at some point in the day (midday?) and then become "overdue" and can only still be viewed by changing the view selection mode (Today/Overdue etc).
Why don't tasks due today stay all day until the end of the working day (as set in Outlook) or midnight?
What is the point of not showing tasks due in the afternoon in favour of the next days'?
I just don't understand the logic in this.
I can only assume that the Programmers of DJO all go home after midday hence they don't need to know any tasks that might still be due for that day.
This screen could be so useful and yet to me is utterly useless.

        To quote Thomas from this thread;

As for the date issue; it is the design of DejaToday to show you your next few "business hours". So after noon on a given day, it will start showing you the following morning.

        Unquote.

I got this from the dictionary for the word "today"

        World English Dictionary
        today (təˈdeɪ)

        n
        1. this day, as distinct from yesterday or tomorrow

So in fact DejaToday should be renamed DejaSometime??

I have update to 1.11.9 and have notice that my tasks for today are still there at 16.47.
          Before they disappeared at noon.

My solution for overdue tasks is to everyday, manually, rollover the overdue tasks.
This way they keep being displayed in my today widget.
And I can see what I still have to do.

All my tasks are recurring and have no time (all day events).

And since the update the appointments stay listed in time order.
That means the first upcoming appointment for today first and after noon the appointments for tommorow will list in order of time.
That for me does the trick.

It would be great if you could leave the overdue tasks as they are and get them displayed with the due tasks in DeJaToday, but if that is not possible the rollover does the trick for me.
It would be nice though if for the HTC Desire HD the automatic roll over would work because rolling over evry single task is a bit time consuming.
HTC Desire HD, Android 2.3.5., CL Pro 5 (build 5074), DJO 2.5.5 Palmdesktop V 4.1.4, Windows XP Pro SP3,
Synchronising Wifi, Synchronising calendar, contacts, tasks and memos.
Only synchronised DJO contacts with native contacts once with 'read android data'.

Nexus 7, Android 4.3, not yet installed DJO

            Hi Lexie,

Try checking the DejaToday and the DejaTasks settings. There are various options to view tasks that may have been reset after upgrading.

I did and you have to choose between task due or task overdue.
It is not possible to select task due and overdue.

By rolling the overdue task to today you transfer them to due and then they are displayed in DejaToday.

It would be easier if the option you select would contain the choice 'due and overdue'.

Or if the automatic rollover would work on my HTC Desire HD because the manual roll over is a bit time consuming.

But on the whole the Today widget works for me in this way.
The display of the appointment has changed for the better since you now get them in chronological order.
And the tasks that have no specific time are now displayed all day instead of only until noon.

                Lexie,

Thanks for the feedback. I will forward the request to the dev team for evaluation.
