Contacts not sorted by first name in android native app since ver 1.11.8. Why?

My phone: HTC Wildfire, Android 2.2.1.
I've been reporting it already to the support but still no answer.
In my phone there is no possibility of sorting contacts by first or last name.

Since ver 1.11.8, now in the newest ver 1.11.9 as well, contacts in the android db are not sorted by "first name" any more(even if set to be sorted by "first name" in dejaoffice). They are sorted by "last name"

It worked fine and they were sorted by first name until ver 1.11.7.

    Could you please fix it.Thanks!
