Can I sync with the HTC PC Sync calendar without syncing with a PC?

I have an HTC Evo 4G. I've entered a bunch of calendar items in in the PC Sync calendar (which was the default calendar) rather than in a calendar connected to my Gmail account. Now I don't want to use PC Sync or any other Android calendar. I just want to use Deja Calendar.

The problem: When I try to sync Deja Calendar with the PC Sync calendar, it says I need to be connected to a PC. I'm not using a PC with this phone. I just want to move what I entered in the PC Sync calendar to the Deja Calendar. Any ideas about how I can do that?

    Hello Stuart,

I want to make sure I am hearing you correctly:
PCSync calendar - Are you talking about the Native Android Calendar application?

      Thomas-

The EVO comes with a feature called "HTC Sync" which allows the user to sync a number of things, including a calendar, with a PC. The native Android calendar shows a PC Sync calendar along with any Google accounts that have been set up. (I'm assuming that the PC Sync calendar is provided so the user doesn't need a 3rd-party app to sync with Outlook.)

DejaOffice is not compatible with HTC Sync.
You can do your own research on HTC sync and make a decision on how you want to use it. But it is not compatible with DejaOffice.

For clarification, I assumed that Deja Office is not compatible with HTC Sync, and I don't want to use HTC Sync. What I'm trying to do is move the events I entered in the Android Calendar to Deja Calendar, which is the only calendar I want to use. I know that Deja Calendar will sync with a Google calendar, and I was wondering if there was a way to sync it with the PC Sync calendar. If that can't be done, I'll just manually reenter the events in Deja Calendar.

          Thanks,

          -Stuart

            Hello Stuart,

Have you turned on Calendar Syncing with Native Android App in DejaOffice?

            STEPS:
            1. Open DejaOffice and tap Settings>Sync Settings.
            2. Check the Sync with Native Android Calendar App box.
            3. Tap Calendar Account option and select the Account your Calendar Entries are saved to in your Android Device.
            4. Go back to the Main Android DejaOffice Screen and tap "Read Android Data".

Does that help? Let me know if you have questions or run into any challenges.

              Thomas-

I'm able to sync Deja Calendar with my Android Google-account calendar. Unfortunately, the default Android calendar is the PC Sync calendar, which is where I entered a bunch of events, and which won't sync with Deja Calendar. At this point, I think I'll just manually reenter the events in Deja Calendar.

              Thanks,

              -Stuart

                Hi Stuart,

If the Android device does not offer the account then we cannot sync with it.

I'm just reentering the events in Deja Calendar. It's a one-time thing, and then I'll be using that only.

Thanks for following through with this. I appreciate it.
