    Another lost my contacts post

At some point in the last couple weeks all my contacts disappeared from my Palm Desktop (6.2.2). They are still on my phone. I assume I can get them back into my Palm desktop by syncing one way through companionlink, my questions are:

Are there any tips for transferring from phone to desktop?

Where are the D.O. files on my phone? I'd like to back them up before trying?

What can I do to avoid this happening in the future? I don't sync often (because there are rarely changes) but this has me somewhat frightened.

    Many thanks for your help.

    DejaOffice version 1.11.9
    CompanionLink version 4.0 (build 4044)

    I should mention

My DejaContacts are not synced to my Android contacts. I didn't want to be trying to sync three ways, so my phone contacts are basically empty. My contacts only exist at the moment in DO on the phone.

The DJO database in in the clusb folder on the memory card of your device. I'd backup this folder before doing any further action.
Update to the latest CL version and then open CL settings and set everything for a one way from Android to Desktop. In the menu, also select reread android data.
      Backup first!

Thanks, the file location was exactly what I was most anxious to know

I think if I get the files safely backed up I will try without updating CL. The free upgrade is for people who bought after 7/1/2010 and I bought (I kid you not)on 6/29/2010! (Though elsewhere on the site it says if you bought version 4, version 5 is a free upgrade, so I am not sure what the deal is.)

        Anyway, thanks for your help!

You can update version 4 to the latest build (4050) for free whatever the case and you should. You can't really trouble shoot until you see if the issue has been addressed in one of the later builds since 4044.
