since upgrading to CL 5 and DJO latest release, my sync is no longer working

Syncing used to be perfect. I have a droid incredible. Ever since changing to CL 5, when I sync, the memo pad / notes has duplicate entries, and the contacts has duplicate entries. When I purge and re-load, everything is synced correctly. I have CL 5 set so that Outlook is the primary database, all syncs are outlook to phone, and conflicts are handled with latest changes kept.

Any solutions would be appreciated. Thanks,
    Albert

    Hello Albert,

    Thanks for posting.
Did the Purge and reload Sync fix the issue? Do the duplicates come back after syncing again? DO you still have duplicates to resolve?
I have a few questions for you.
    1. What build number of CompanionLink is installed on your PC? (Latest is 5004)
    2. What Model Android Device and OS are you using?
    3. What version of DejaOffice is installed?
    4. What Sync Method do you use?
    5. What PC Data manger application do you sync with? (Outlook, Act!, Palm Desktop, ect...)

      info you requested

Hi, when I purge and reload, it all syncs correctly. On the second sync (usually the next evening), it creates duplicates.

I'm using CL5004, droid incredible with the latest system update (4.08.605.2), DJO 1.12.3, and I sync with wifi, using Outlook as the primary database.

      Thanks,
      Albert Kao

        Hello Albert,

Are the duplicates occurring in Contacts only? Or are other applications affected.
Is DejaOffice configured to Sync with the Native Contacts Application?
Are the duplicates that occur a subset of your data or is every contact duplicated?
Do you sync with the Native Android Contacts application?

          Hi,

No, I thought of this, but the duplicates aren't happening in contacts. I do sync with the native contact app, but I always delete the native Contacts storage before I purge and re-load, so I don't get duplicates, neither in the original purge and reload sync, nor in any subsequent syncs.

I don't sync with the native calendar app.

The duplicates are occurring in my notes category only.

hi, just wanted to make sure that this email thread didn't get dropped. I'm still having to purge and re-load everything frequently.

in addition to notes, it appears to be affecting the calendar occasionally as well.

                Hi Albert,

                Please check the following settings:
                1. Open CompanionLink Setup on your PC Desktop.
                2. Click Advanced Settings.
                3. Select the Outlook Folders Tab
                4. Is the Include Sub Folders check box selected for Calendar and or Notes?

Also - Please update to DejaOffice 1.12.5 if you have not already.

                  answer

                  I updated to 1.12.5 today.

No, the include subfolders is not checked for calendar or notes/memos, it is only checked for contacts.

fyi, the problem appears to be evolving somewhat. During this past week, my memos, for instance, were duplicated in their entirety--every memo. now, I'm getting a duplicate only for 1 random memo, or 1 random calendar entry, out of the many memos and entries that I have.
