    Bad looking contact photos..

When just adding contact photos within Deja office contacts, I run into a couple of issues.

First... all the pics were taken by the phone in the camera and look great when viewed in the gallery.. but... whenever I select them as the contact photos within Deja office, it seems to "down resolution" them. Also, it rotates some of them on it's own when they are already in the direction I want. In the past when I select the contact photos within the built in contact list on my Droid X phone, it keeps them looking great so it's not the quality of the photos to begin with.

Second.. there is no editing capabilities when you select the photo. Just a basic crop function would suffice. Well, that and the ability to rotate since Deja wants to rotate my photo on its own.

I only have a handful of contacts I would like photos for but assigning them within Deja Office is not acceptable at this point in time.

Thoughts.. questions.. comments.. or even better.. a solution?

    Thnx

I agree with that : I take good looking pictures with my camera and insert then in Android contact app ; and after several syncs, the pictures are using very bad resolution...

XP&7 FR / Outlook 2010 / DJO 2.2.9 + CLP 5.0.5036 / Samsung Galaxy S2 + Android 4.0.3 / DejaConnect USB + 90 days back + sync both ways + sync deletions + sync alarms + cleared records + native Android contacts sync but no Google Calendar sync

        McLion,

I notice you are Syncing to the DejaOffice Account. Are you noting the same behavior with that as previous?
I am travelling this week and do not have an Android device with me right now.

          Thomas,

I am not at the office before September 10. I'll have to double-check then and let you know the outcome.

            bad contact photos...

I'll chime in again and say that I am only syncing with Deja office... no google cloud for me.

I did notice that a duplicate contact picture is created by Deja office when I add the photos to my deja contacts. When opening up that picture in the viewer, it is very tiny.. and when you enlarge it, it gets pixelated very bad. I did try and rotate the picture within the editor, and even though I could do it... it still shows up rotated the wrong way within deja office.

              low resolution contact photos

I have (had) the same thing (new S3). I have added the contact pics once more from the gallery to the native Android contact app. They stay there with high resolution. Apparently the sync only works from Deja Office to the native Android contact app but not vice versa. I now have sharp pics when somebody calls.
