Not all contacts synch with Android Contacts

I generally sync my DejaOffice (DJO) Contacts with my Outlook via CompanionLink with no problems. After upgrading my mobile to CyanogenMod 10.2 I had not synced my contact data with the Android Contact app. So, the Telephone app doesn't show the contact data / pics.
Now I wanted to heal that and switched some parameters in the Sync settings:
Sync with Android Contact App: on
Sync DJO Contact cats with Android Contact groups: on
    Sync Notes: on
    Contact Account: gmail account
Sync selected Contact categories (cats): all

I deleted all data in the Android Contact app.
Then I pressed "Read all Data".

I ended up with 258 out of 600 contacts being synced to the Android Contact app.
Playing around with some settings, I found out, that
    • No category names were synced to the Android groups.
    • Contacts from some categories were synced, from other cats not.

An interesting finding when I selected to sync cat = "hotel" was, that 25 contacts were synced. In DJO I have 26, one of them having 2 cats (hotel, gastro). When I synced with cat = "gastro", 0 were synced.
But that is no general rule. I tried the same pattern with two other cats, of which contacts have double cats. Here all contacts were displayed, though some were in another category, too, that would not be displayed, if selected for sync.

I would like to know, how I get
    1. all contacts of my selected categories synced.
    2. the DJO cats synced to Android Contact groups

I appreciate your tipps, guides, or hints.

    Rollo,

Thanks for using DejaOffice. Do you have at least one group created in Android contact groups? If not, please create a Android contact group then go back to DejaOffice and tap and hold the Read Android Data button and then tap ReRead all data. This should allow all of the DejaOffice categories to sync to Android contact groups.

If you notice that some DejaOffice contacts are not syncing to Android contacts, please do a one way sync from Outlook to Android(CompanionLink Advanced Settings > Applications tab) with ReRead Outlook data on next sync checked in the options menu on the home screen of CompanionLink.

      Hi Matt,

the hint with the initial Android contact group was the solution.
