589 Build Templates not working in Android 4.4.2?

Been playing with the new beta build 589. Can get the templates to work on phone.

When I try to create a template on my Nexus tablet it crashes when I try to save the template.

I have tried restarting the tablet and reinstalled DejaOffice without any improvement.

Templates work on the Nexus when I turn off tablet mode!

Create template from existing task does not appear to be available as an option when you select a calendar item.
