    beta 602, alarm date-select half-height on Tasks ?

    Hi,

I noticed the Alarm date select-thing when creating a Task is half the height of other date selectors. Is that on purpose? I use alarms a lot, so prefer a normal height alarm date-selector.

Frans, what do you think of the height?

This was a mistake. I'm not sure why the buttons changed height, but it is a factor of our changing the input style to the underline to take less space. My goal is to make the screens more compact so that there is less scrolling for common entry screens. A scroll is an additional (and unnecessary) screen tap, and I have a focus on cutting down screen taps for common tasks.

What would you think if all the buttons were that height?

It's to small for me, I prefer to tap quickly and for this height you need almost concentrate (if that made sense) Area around it is crowded with other buttons so if you miss you get something you don't want.

If you want to make screens more compact, moving items up or down would be better. There are several items like 'start date' or 'status' I personally don't use for example. Ideally that would be configurable per row but that's a bit much for a near release

We finally settled on something in between. The Buttons will be the same size as 2.5.9, but will be closer together. The screen as a whole will be slightly more compact (about 15%)
