Why does timezone go to UTC for all-day events?

When I set an event as all-day, the timezone changes to UTC - why is this?

I don't really have an answer. Haven't used 2.3.9 in a long time. In the current beta, checking (I never paid attention), when you create an all-day event, the time zone slot disappears. I have no idea what, if any, consequences this has for alarms since I have never used calendar alarms in my life.

Both Google and Outlook store All Day in UTC. So I think it just matches that standard. Early on we had a lot of problems stabilizing DST changes.

I'm about to have the team work more on time zone shift to see if we can stabilize things further when the phone is moving to different time zones.

Thanks, DJOCTO - it's a shame there's not more of a universal standard on how timezones should act in calendaring systems. After all these years, you'd think everyone would agree on The One True Way somehow. :-)

          Hi

I think this has been fixed in the beta versions after build 538. If you want to try the latest beta build is Version 3.1.2 build 618. This seems to be quite stable and without any major problems reported so far. I you want a full release version I think you won't have to wait too long.

My signature is not fully updated yet.
