    Purpose of log.txt file?

I'm trying to track down why my daily backup of essential files has been growing rapidly recently. It seems to be a file in DJO in my phone named log.txt. In an older backup from Oct. 20, there is no file with that name. The next one I have is from Nov. 24, and the file is 4.002 MB. From then, it has grown by about 3 MB each day, until stopping at 17.295 MB a few days ago. In my Logging and Support settings, Start Logging is not checked.

Any suggestions? Is it okay to delete the file?

I think log.txt is to send to the developers when there is a problem. I deleted mine and had no problems. Whenever I install an updated app, I immediately uncheck Start Logging.

      Marjory,

The "log.txt" would be used for troubleshooting. As long as "Start Logging" is unchecked in the Logging and Support Settings, this file should not get any larger. You can delete it.

Thanks - and interestingly, it reset itself right after I wrote this. Since then it has only had data for Nov. 30, up to 15:29, and the file size is only 5 KB. Maybe in the course of investigating it, I changed something. I'm sure that Start Logging was not checked when I first looked at it that day.
