Custom alarm issues since Google Webview/Chrome update

Anyone else having issues with the app crashing unless you let it be put to sleep after this update? Doing this negates the custom alarm function, at least that what happens to me.

    Android 9
    Samsung S8+
    DejaOffice build 1360

    Mike,

Thank you for the report, we are investigating.

There was a wide spread issue a day or so ago with other apps crashing after an update to the WebView on the Android, but as far as I am aware we do not use this system and were unaffected. Android did release a second WebView update which most users reported fixed the crash issue on other apps. Have you checked the Play Store for a further WebView Update? Might also double check the Android System update in the Android Settings > Software Update.

      Thomas,

Yes, I've done the second update through Chrome for version 89.0.4389.105 before my original post. As I mentioned, if I don't have DejaOffice set to put to sleep, it crashes. With it set to put to sleep, the custom alarms do not work. Only the default alarm works. There are continued issues with other alarms and notifications for other apps, so this fix by Google did not resolve all issues for me. It's possible I have reset something in trying to figure out what was wrong before I knew what had happened. It's more of an annoying issue than anything else.

I'm at a loss as to what this problem is. I'd like to setup a support request.
