DJO in phone is sluggish recently

The last few days the app had been noticeably slow to react when I finish editing an item, at least in calendar and tasks which I mostly use. It also seems to be slow when I exit it (I just made a few changes, and when I exited I counted to 15 slowly until it was done; that's not what I'm used to). I don't know if either some phone updates or the DJO ones are related, though the DJO ones are more recent.

    Marjory,

We have a new update we submitted to the Play Store to fix the issue but they are taking their time "Reviewing" it. I am hoping this process will be completed shortly which just means an App update from the Play Store.

I do have a direct link to install this update now if you would rather. Here are those steps. On the Phone, tap the following link:

    https://www.dejaoffice.com/androidap...DejaOffice.apk

Some phone browsers can have some trouble downloading the file, so if the "Chrome" browser does not work, try downloading with the "Internet" Browser.

Once downloaded tap the Download Complete notification to open the installer and choose Install\Update. After installing, reopen DejaOffice, in the bottom left the build should now show 4.4.48 (1377). If so, try the sync once more. Does this resolve the issue?

    NOTE:
If your Android phone displays an "Install blocked" message, do the following:
    1) Tap "Settings".
    2) Check the box for "Unknown sources".
    3) Tap "OK", then restart the installation.

I've installed it successfully, and it says 4.4.48 (1378). I'll test it more, but an edited item closed faster. Exiting the app is still slow. It was in the range of 10-15 seconds before the update, and just now took almost 20 seconds after doing almost nothing in it. Will watch for a while and report again.

It seems that the editing part is okay now. Exiting still takes quite a while even when I've done nothing but open the app, wait just a moment, and close it - about 10 seconds to finish exiting.
Just did a test - I did a restart of the phone, opened DJO, did nothing in it but waited a bit, then closed it. This time it took 15 seconds to close.

          Marjory,

I have created a support ticket for the remaining issue and emailed you directly.

Thomas and I are looking at it. When I went to Logging to create a file to send him, I found that I already had logging turned on. I suspect that setting was at least part of the problem, and it has been exiting faster since that setting has been unchecked.

At this point, I would say that the logging was the problem. It's been quite quick to exit recently.
