When I create a calendar event in Outlook, it shows up in Deja Calendar on my phone automatically linked to the same contact over and over and sometime shows the link to the same contact multiple times in the same calendar event (no link to the contact is showing in Outlook). How do I unlink what appears to be a defaulted linked contact?

yes, this happens to me as well and it is very annoying. It has been reported to development several times.Using Outlook 2016 Pro on a desktop PC running Windows 10/64 bit Pro with a Moto X 2015 Pure with 6.0 Marshmellow. Laptop is a 8 GB Microsoft Surface Pro 4 running windows 10 Pro 64 bit

Mine just started doing this a few days ago week! It was just fine prior to that!
BMAC, have you received any positive feedback from the developer on this? I'm hoping that when it's corrected it'll automatically fix itself. If I have to go back in all these calendar events I'm creating and manually deleted this linked contact, it's going to be frustrating. When did this problem begin to occur for you?

I think Development did look at it but it was never resolved. Not all tasks or calendar events with a contact get duplicated, so it is difficult to determine why this happens. For instance, last night I entered a calendar event with two contacts. This morning, after 1 sync (to the dejacloud) the second contact entered was duplicated so now there were 3 contacts.Originally posted by NuKar View PostMine just started doing this a few days ago week! Have you tried starting a logging session in DJO before a sync and sending the log to DJO support? Though sods law means the problem won't happen when the log is running!!Cecil

Nukar, I apologize for the problem.
It happens on my phone also. It links to the one contact I have in my database that lacks First Name, and Last name. The easy way is to change that contact so it has a name ( and not just an email field).
It links, because the contact is an "exact match" to "no link info"; i.e. blank matches blank. Stupid computers.

The contact mine is linking to has a first and last name. There are no blank fields. So, your explanation does not apply for me. And, for my situation to have just started three weeks ago, when it didn't do it prior, makes no sense. Something happened. Can you please find out what. There is either a setting that got messed up or something. Also, every time I go into each event in my phone and delete the contact and resync it with Outlook, it messes everything up. This is not a "stupid computer" answer. There is a glitch somewhere. Please help.

NuKar, it's likely with the contents of the first/last name. Are they alphabetic or using unicode characters?
Please send us a log. Go to DejaOffice Settings, Logging and Support Settings, Email Log. In the email message please say "Forum NuKar" so we know what it is about. We'll look into it.
