Should DejaOffice calendar wake up phone?

At one time, an event in the DejaOffice calendar would wake up my Galaxy 7 (and previous devices), even if I didn't have DejaOffice open. No more. Now, I get no notification unless/until I open DejaOffice. Any ideas as to what's changed, or if I fat-fingred a setting somewhere? Now that I'm retired, I'm out of the habit of checking my calendar daily, but after missing a couple of things, realized I can no longer rely on DejaOffice calendar ...

Android has made a few changes since OS 8 which all the app to from with the boot of a phone or relaunch automatically. If you are not getting some alarms, this could be due to the Android Battery Monitor. Check here for steps to make sure DejaOffice is allowed:

Deja Office was on the unmonitored list, but I toggled it to monitor and then back to unmonitored. Maybe that'll kickstart it.
