    Task alarm not going off

I am trying to set up a recurring task with an alarm set to go off at 3:00pm, but the alarm will not go off. I tried setting it to different times and still no alarm. My husband set one up exactly like I did and his alarm went off. He has a Samsung phone and I have a Google Pixel phone. Can someone help me get the alarm to go off? thank you.

    Alcubb,

Are you getting the Notification and just not the Tone? Or is there no Notification and No Tone? A few things to check:

    1. Ensure the Battery Monitor is not effecting the notifications:

    2. Try a Rebuild of the Alarm Channels.
    a. Open DejaOffice
    b. Tap Settings and tap Alarm Settings.
    c. Tap and hold on the Sound and Vibrate Settings option for about 3 seconds. Tap the Recreate Alarm Channels prompt that appears.

Try adding a new task with an Alarm any change?

The alarms work perfect for events on my calendar, just not with the tasks. I don't have the battery saver option on and I did the "recreate alarm channels". I have set up a new task. The alarm still did not go off. I get no notification or anything. I was on the phone with support two days ago and they had me email the log but I haven't heard back from them.

        Alcubb,

I will check for the log in our support system. It is possible the Tone is the issue, check here for me:

        1. Open DejaOffice
        2. Tap Settings and tap Alarm Settings.
        3. Tap Sound and Vibrate Settings.
        4. Select Task Alarm in this menu.

        a. Make Sure Show Notifications is turned On for Tasks.
        b. Make sure Alert is checked and not Silent
        c. Tap the Sound option, what tone is checked here? If you try selecting a different time (preferably one of the default tones for now).

Then tap Back until you get back to the Main DejaOffice menu and try adding a new alarm to a task any change?

OK, I did everything you suggested and still no alarm or notification. What does it mean in the Task when it says "not started". Am I supposed to do something to make it start? Does it start when the alarm goes off? Sorry for the stupid questions but this is one option I have not used and am not familiar with it.

Not Started is just a Task Status, it wouldn't effect the Alarms. This is where "Completed" would show as well. There are other options like "Waiting", "In Progress", etc. You can find the Status field under More at the bottom of the Task edit Panel. I will find your support ticket and we can continue there.

I just want to say a huge thank you to Thomas for helping fix this problem. He suggested I uninstall and reinstall the app on my phone and allow all the permissions. I did that and now everything is working great. I get quite a few updates to the Andoid system since it is a Google Pixel phone, so probably one of those updates caused the problem. But, everything is working now and I am a happy camper. Thank you again, Thomas, for all of your patience and help.
